Just as easy and better for you than a pre-packaged meal; adapted from Countryside Cravings
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 tsp minced garlic (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried parsley, optional
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 2 cups uncooked macaroni noodles (< 1 lb)
- 1 8oz can tomato sauce
- 1 ½ cup beef broth
- 1 ½ cup milk
- 1~2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Brown ground beef and onion. Drain grease. Add garlic, cook 1 min. Add chili powder, parsley, salt, pepper. Cook 1 min more.
- Add uncooked pasta, tomato sauce, beef broth, and milk. Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer and cook covered for 10-12 min or until pasta is done. Stir halfway through to prevent noodles from sticking to the pan.
- Remove from heat and stir cheese in at the end until melty.
